Job Description:
The Assistant Manager, Diversity & Inclusion will support the day-to-day operations of Cartier North America’s D&I initiatives, programs, and activities. This newly created position will report to the Head of Diversity & Inclusion and will manage various projects and initiatives that impact D&I within and outside of the organization. The ideal candidate is self-driven, proactive, and committed to creating equitable environments. Candidates must have a passion for diversity, equity and inclusion and a proven ability to create safe and authentic spaces.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess and recommend DEI trainings
- Support the roll-out of DE&I roadmap
- Update internal communications channels with D&I content
- Create and compile tools to best communicate projects to internal stakeholders ie. Project decks, Program Fact Sheets, FAQs, Excel Templates
- Expand connections with HBCUs, HSIs, and related organizations
- Identify and coordinate employee volunteer opportunities that support Cartier’s D&I mission
- Compile project recaps including metrics and analytics for post evaluation and best practices
- Act as a program manager for the DE&I Council and related groups
- Identify new talent sourcing channels (colleges, universities, clubs, social groups, etc.)
- Collect and analyze feedback on new and existing programs
- Organize culture, heritage, and awareness month programming
- Work cohesively with corporate, boutique, and client relations center teams to amplify and enhance D&I exposure and impact
Job Requirements:
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Organizational, planning and time management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting rigorous deadlines
- Proven track record creating inclusive and equitable spaces
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Project management skills, including managing calendars and timelines
- Ability to work effectively with all company levels from senior management, to outside partners and support staff
- Flexible to travel and work overtime in line with business needs
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently; demonstrates initiative
- Creative problem solver, detailed orientated and a self-starter
Qualification & Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in relevant role (D&I, HR, program management, retail support)
- Retail experience preferred
