Job Description:
As an Environmental Attorney, you will work on unique and challenging issues related to national security and interact with a wide variety of U.S. Government and state agencies, Congress, federal and state authorities, and the private sector.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to meet the minimum requirements for joining CIA, including U.S. citizenship and a background investigation
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
- Active bar membership from any of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands
- Aptitude for understanding the major environmental law statutes and Executive Orders, such as the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and E.O. 13693 Planning for Federal Sustainability in the Next Decade
- Minimum of three (3) years of environmental law practice experience
- Familiarity with the with the Occupational Safety and Health Act and standards implemented thereunder, as implemented through E.O. 12196, Occupational Safety and Health Programs for Federal Employees
