Hotwire differentiates itself as a brand within the travel marketplace by offering a unique core value proposition for customers and suppliers with our opaque pricing model. This concept revolves around offering great bargains on hotel room nights without sharing the specific name or location of the hotel until the booking is complete. By giving this flexibility to our suppliers, we can offer great value to our customers. Hotwire also offers a full retail suite of other travel products that can fulfill virtually any customer travel need.
Job Responsibilities:
- You coordinate with other Expedia brands to build comprehensive testing frameworks.
- You use data and insight to co-develop marketing road-maps with marketing managers.
- You use statistical methods to identify areas for budget optimization and make suggestions for streamlining processes.
- You partner with Product & Marketing business owners to diagnose business problems.
- You mine the database for critical business insights and intelligence. Formulate and communicate findings to the organization.
- You conduct analytic deep-dives of critical business issues that impact performance and translate the analyses into actionable recommendations.
- You craft a data-centric view of customer behavior to diagnose drivers for business impact.
- You define and lead our incrementality testing workstream to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization, both for the marketing team and cross-functional business partners, as needed.
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:
- Familiarity with Google Big Query a plus.
- Proficiency with statistical software is also required (R and/or Python preferred).
- Attested ability to frame problems and structure analysis, and deliver coherent conclusions and insights.
- Superior analytic problem solver, with a focus on delivering actionable recommendations.
Self-motivated with 5+ years of demonstrated success & experience in marketing, web, mobile or product analytics. - Strong business knowledge and demonstrated ability to probe, drill and analyze elusive problems with minimal supervision.
- Advanced SQL and the ability to write complex queries is required.
- You have working knowledge of marketing A/B testing, test design, as well as evaluation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and MicroStrategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Analytics, Economics, Data Science or comparable is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
