Job Responsibilities:
- Create a digital marketing strategy aligned with the department’s marketing goals
- Develop and manage social media campaigns
- Work with web/graphic designers to ensure department website and media platforms are fully operational and up to date
- Increase department presence and interaction across various social media platforms
- Assessment reporting on social media performance and engagement
- Planning, execution and attend departmental events and take pictures for use in content and archiving
- Conceptualize and produce content for media platforms
- Provide inputs in the layout and design of publications such as Annual Report
- Ensure Corporate Identity compliance
- Liaise with different directorates to establish and produce their communication needs
- Develop creative ways of keeping the newsletter relevant, identify content to be covered in the newsflash and newsletter
- Write and upload news articles for website and intranet
- Develop a plan for the distribution of publications to stakeholders
- Assist in departmental community outreach projects
- Project management functions
- Compile weekly and monthly activities report
- Draft Supply Chain Management documents
- Draft business plans in consultation with the ASD and Deposit administrative work into the file management system.
Job Requirements:
- Microsoft suite
- Basic picture editing tool such as Paint
- News editing
- Report writing
- Social media marketing
- Content creation/curation
- Search Engine Optimization
- A valid driver’s license
Qualification & Experience:
- Matric plus NQF Level 6/ National Diploma in Communication
- Public Relations
- Journalism
- Media Studies or other related qualification, coupled with 2-3 years’ working experience in communication environment.
