Job Description:

A vacancy exists for a Registered Nurse in the General Ward, reporting to Claudia Windvogel based at Life Bay View Private Hospital.  The successful candidates will be responsible for providing holistic patient care and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders in line with Company & Hospital strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identifying doctor’s preferences and stakeholder’s needs and implement in the working environment
• Evaluating employee labour hours and manage debit and credit hours
• Monitoring and implementing preventative measures to minimise risk
• Comply with ISO requirements in order to facilitate infection control
• Ensuring daily care rounds are conducted and investigating complaints
• Minimising unnecessary stock wastage and facilitating maintenance of equipment
• Identifying and ensuring staff undergo department specific micro orientation
• Providing accurate, appropriate and adequate information to patients and family members during hospitalisation

Qualification & Experience:

• Driver’s license and ability to travel
• Nursing Experience in Medical or General Wards required.
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
• Computer proficiency
• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Current registration with SANC.
