Job Description:
To manage and develop all health services, staff, procedures, representation, and developments
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage office administration with administrator including timekeeping, supplies, minutes, leave etc.
- Represent and participate in all Nelson Mandela Bay DOH related processes including province, district, and local facility level. Attend all partner meetings of implementers in NMB.
- Overall management of the implementation, quality monthly meetings and needed improvements of all services. It includes the health services, M&E, marketing, finances, and administration.
- Attend all relevant meetings including monthly operational meetings with management, and quarterly partner meetings.
- Liaise with the Director and marketing manager on all printed and electronic marketing activities for publicity and demand creation.
- Monitor the management of identified quality improvement activities mainly through weekly meetings. Assist with needed interventions and technical advice.
- Ensure that there is a full staff component, recruitment processes are followed as need arises.
- Manage monthly updates of contacts for databases and referral list.
- On-going liaison with Human Resources Manager in implementation of human resources policies including leave, performance evaluations.
- Represent and manage local press releases, radio shows and similar platforms.
- Chair disciplinary and grievance hearings where needed and appropriate.
- Manage implementation of financial policies and procedures including site budgets, redirections, petty cash, procurement, asset management and needed reports.
- Manage data coordinator on processes and daily, weekly, and monthly submission of data and compiling of needed reports. (Quantity and quality and take corrective actions).
- Annual planning for all programmes, monthly staff and management meetings to monitor implementation, needed evaluation were identified.
- Identify new opportunities for programme development and achieving of targets.
- Ensure employee’s job descriptions, staff files and all other HR documents are in place.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sector related qualification
- Written and oral communication skills are required
- Experience of management of staff, finances, partners, and M&E
- 3 or more years’ PEPFAR experience
- Experience in working with health and Key populations, specifically MSM
- Person must be non – judgemental
- Clinic background will be an added advantage
