Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for updating of asset register.
• Responsible for creating, updating planned maintenance system and register per discipline, section and workgroup.
• Initial screening of incoming workorders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning
• Responsible for planned, preventative, corrective, condition-based maintenance and safety work order flow.
• Conducts field walks to identify and document job requirements.
• Identifies specific safety hazards in the performance of the proposed work.
• Make lockout documentation available to employees.
• Estimates required hours on workorders tasks, total workorder duration and skill required to perform the task.
• Plans jobs with appropriate level of detail.
• Gathers necessary engineering or technical documents, specifications and drawings.
• Maintain Workorder closing and analysis thereof.
• Plant performance analysis (daily, weekly, monthly) per workgroup and section.
• Responsible for creating requisitions (internal, external)

Job Requirements:

• Computer skills
• Work order data control
• Ability to learn and apply maintenance best practices
• Ability to write detailed repair report
• Communication skills
• Working knowledge of operational processes and equipment utilized in the operation
• Drawings and manuals data control
• Knowledge of the principles and concepts of maintenance work
• Basic knowledge of the mine health and safety act
• Strong supervisory skills

Qualification & Experience:

• Grade 12
• Trade certificate or equivalent qualification
• Valid driver’s license (EB/08) is required
• 2 to 3 years work experience in a maintenance planning environment.
• Maintenance systems training and experience
• 5-years work experience in skilled trades
