RBS Jobs – Financial Crime Decision Support Lead

Job Description:

You’ll define, embed and manage a robust FinCrime decision support governance framework in line with the operational risk handbook and conduct and compliance handbook, and build and manage an accredited decision support team to ensure both Client Due Diligence and Reputational Risk decisions are made in line with policy and business risk appetite. You’ll be accountable for, via Delegated Authority, the successful execution of Senior Management Sign Off for CDD files.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the Franchises with ad-hoc queries and questions and due diligence investigation support for Environmental, Social, Governance (ESE) and Reputation Risks
• Support the CDD operations teams with ad-hoc queries, questions and escalations concerning application of policy, guidance and controls with regards to complex cases and risk based decision making requirements
• Be accountable for escalations to SLOD for CDD complex case queries and referrals that are not resolved within FLOD
• Ensure root causes and themes across FC Hub CDD questions and decision supports are monitored and remedial actions provided to FC Hub processing teams as required
• Be responsible for the Decision Support Ongoing Monitoring process to ensure compliance and quality is adhered to when dealing with referrals escalated to the Remediation team
• Act as a triage for enterprise wide reputational risk decisioning ensuring quality assurance and completeness of cases being submitted to decision forums

Job Requirements:

• Experience of leading teams
• To hold, or be working towards a relevant Financial Crime Qualification
• The ability to analyse and evaluate multiple sources of information, alternatives and associated consequences
